It`s almost two years I`ve brought PhotoRing to life. The very first version was made in extremely short time and lasted whole life-time. I had many brand new designs prepared to use, one design was over one year in a minor testing version – but not publicized. I decided to change this web when my webhosting company invoiced me to renew domain in January 2008. So here we go…

What are the main changes?

• Design – from pink whatever to purple compact layout with fixed width.
• Settings – users can change all submitted information from registration.
• Accounts – it was removed logging in by integer ID. You can log in by using your e-mail address now! Your password is same you`ve been using before.
• Photoblogs were re-indexed – all links to photoblog`s profiles were changed!
• Disabled RSS Photo voting – temporarily (Voting will be available as soon as I rewrite voting script...) 2008/03/08 It`s possible to rate photos again!
• Removed forum – the old BB Forum was used by spambots more than by proper users. There will be are comments under all articles soon.
• Hosting change – whole site was moved to another webhosting provider. I`m still looking for another and stable hosting!

How can you help me?

You can suggest me any ideas by mail (admin@photoring.org) or by using comments (soon). I have some plans with user`s profiles, there will be opportunity to manage more photoblogs from one account. There is also one idea to make global photoblog rating (1-5 points) – points will be made by voting photos, winning “Photo of the month competition” or by activity in comments.
